Have you ever gone out for a run and wondered how far you were going? Or am I on pace to accomplish my goals? How many calories did I burn on this particular workout? I have found myself in this situation in my younger running years. Thankfully to my delight I have recently acquired Gamins GPS Watch.
A GPS watch can be helpful in the sense that it can help to have a consistent pace. If you're running with just a normal watch than it would be easy to be confused as to whether or not you are going as fast as you think you are going. I have found that on some instances I thought I was going fast only to find out at the end of the workout the times were quite slow.
One great feature on the Garmin GPS Watch is the Virtual Running Partner. This works out nice if you are planning on doing a solo run. You simply set the distance, pace and total time. Your virtual running buddy notifies you if you are above or below the pace. Furthermore how far ahead or behind you are of it.
To wrap things up it is evident that a GPS Watch is a useful tool to use whether you're training for a marathon or trying to get a fast time in a 5K Race.
Keep on Running!
